NOW PLAYING: King of Glory - The Swahili Christmas Carol Album

NOW PLAYING: King of Glory - The Swahili Christmas Carol Album

If you were at The King & The Code: Christmas Edition 2025, you know the music sections of this unforgettable play were just as powerful as the main story. Now, those unforgettable songs are available to stream, courtesy of Osborns Praise, the choir that brought the live stage play to life under music director, Godwin Mlambo.

Osborns Praise performing King of Glory

The album, titled King of Glory, is more than just a collection of songs. It is the one-of-a-kind Swahili Christmas carol, the story of the birth of Jesus Christ in the form of a song compilation.

This spiritual journey, brought to life by The King & The Code and the talented Osborns Praise choir, captures the essence of worship, blending powerful lyrics and rich harmonies to create a "Swahili Christmas experience" unlike anything ever seen before.

The Track list and where to listen

Released as part of The King & The Code: Christmas Edition 2025, the album features five standout tracks. Listen to them here!

  • King of Glory: The title track sets the tone for the album. This is a bold banger of a declaration of Christ's majesty and reign. You will have this on repeat for days!
  • Come and See: An invitation to "Come and See" that what God gives, He covers, provides for and protects. This song speaks about the birth of Jesus Christ, and how many came from close and far off lands just to see the fulfillment of God's prophecy foretold by His prophets.
  • Usiruhusu: This Swahili worship song vaguely translates to "Do not let the..." It is a track that expresses the heart of Yusufu crying out to God after Mariam tells him she is pregnant. In the song, he pleads to God not to let people witness his shame - the disappointment of his hope to marry his beloved, Mariam.
  • Salvation: This is the declaration track - the reason of Jesus's mission on earth, in lyrics. It is a song that will incite within you the joy of salvation and revive your love for God all over again. Think we are joking? See for yourself.
  • Shangilia: This is that song that needs you to put on your dancing shoes! With its name translating to "Celebrate/Rejoice" in English, this song understood the assignment! Get your dancing shoes on and celebrate the birth of the Messiah with that dance you have been saving up for a special occasion. Amekuja Kwetu!
